Volunteer

AJFF is looking for people to enhance our committee—Join a great group, and use your talents for good.

The 18th annual Jewish Film Festival is coming this November in an exciting new format.  The new arrangement will be safe for all participants during the pandemic.  AJFF also produces the AJFF365 Monthly Film Series in collaboration with Shalom Austin.

We’ve been running significantly more programs per month than usual, so everyone can participate in events while they stay at home.
But the festival needs more committee members to help manage our additional responsibilities for developing and presenting these programs.

If you have skills in any of the following areas and would like to work with a dynamic, volunteer-run team to help bring the best of Jewish and Israeli cinema and TV to Austin (technically more than Austin, since we’re virtual), please click the “VOLUNTEER!” button and send us an email with a brief summary of your skillset and availability.

The festival is recruiting for committee members with basic skills in any of the following areas:

Writing and editing
Bookkeeping
Development/fundraising
Grant writing
Project management
Technology

When the festival present events on location, we also need volunteers for various jobs to do “day-of-event” tasks such as ushering and taking tickets.   Volunteers for these roles need to be able to stand comfortably for an hour, have basic tech skills (e.g., know how to use a smartphone), and be personable and well presented.  To volunteer for “day-of-event” jobs, click the “VOLUNTEER!” button.
