‘The Execution of Memory’ student filmmaker event with Gabi Bania

Polish student animator Gabi Bania will join AJFF’s Wendy Corn to present and discuss her new short animated film ‘The Execution of Memory.’ The film is a screen adaptation of Jerzy Ficowski’s poem under the same title that is devoted to the subject of the Holocaust and World War II. The poetry volume was published on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. ‘The Execution of Memory’ is a metaphorical story about the ‘demons of the past’ and the fight that must be taken to be able to free oneself from them.

Cast: Wendy Corn, Gabi Bania
