IN PERSON ONLY!
Jerusalem ’67
In Jerusalem during the Six Day War, a young civilian leaves her family to serve her country; a man who abhors war must fight within sight of his home; and a group of paratroopers are dispatched to the city for a battle they never trained for.
WHY WE LIKE THIS FILM: Remarkably, this is the first feature film about the 6 Day War. However, more than a war film, this movie tells the story of the recapture of the Western Wall through the eyes of a remarkable woman, Sarah, who is based on a real person and the events she experienced.
BONUS PROGRAMMING: AJFF interview with director Oded Raz and producer Joseph Schick. Following the film and interview, Warren Spector will facilitate an “After the Film” discussion with the audience.
